The Sake Glass Set from Hirota Glass comes with two varieties: Tsubomi and Hana. Both are shaped to fit comfortably in your hand and to your lip to best enjoy each sip of sake. You would be surprised by how the same sake can taste different in each glass. The set comes with an illustrated English instruction sheet in a wooden box, so this can also make a wonderful gift for someone special. 

Tsubomi translates to "flower bud"; the design of the glass mimics the curved, closed shape of a bud, and helps trap in the aroma of the sake inside of the glass. The recommended sake for the Tsubomi is Junmai-shu or a pure sake with no added alcohol. 

Hana translates to flower; the design of the glass mimics an open blossom and releases the aroma to the nose right away. The recommended sake for the Hana is Daiginjo or a premium grade sake made with highly-polished rice.

How to use:

1. Serve the same sake in both glasses and compare the differences in flavor and aroma. Compare which you prefer between the two.
2. You can choose your desired glass, then think about a meal that will pair with it. 
3. You can choose which glass to use based of a meal. 
4. You can choose which glass to use based on your feelings/preference of the day.
